This study delves into the intricate relationship between mental health and coping strategies, recognizing mental health as a vital component of overall well-being. Mental health encompasses personal efficacy, adaptability, and the nurturing of cognitive and emotional flourishing. Coping strategies, the cognitive and behavioral mechanisms employed to navigate life's changes and stressors, exhibit individual variations. Three core coping styles—problem-oriented, emotion-oriented, and avoidance—are fundamental to understanding how individuals approach and manage stressors.
The intersection of mental health and coping strategies creates a dual dynamic. Effective coping strategies selection and application align with stress and change, fostering a healthier mental milieu. This synergy offers insights into recognizing tense scenarios and selecting apt coping strategies. Health psychology underscores the pivotal role of coping strategies in physical and mental health. As an intermediary variable, effective coping holds prominence in stress-disease relationships. Notably, emotional coping emerges as a pivotal mediator in the stress-disease nexus, with stress-induced ailments and declining overall health often associated with persistent use of emotional coping strategiesThis paper underscores the interplay between mental health and coping strategies, highlighting their significance in promoting well-being and managing stress-induced health outcomes
