Abstract
The relationship between religion and economy is a complex and multifaceted one. This paper examines the economy of religion, which treats religion as an independent variable that produces economic consequences. The paper reviews the literature on the economy of religion and discusses the different ways in which religion can impact the economy. The paper then presents a case study of the United States, where religion plays a significant role in the economy. The paper concludes by discussing the implications of the economy of religion for public policy.
