Abstract

The essence of this research work is to critically examine the nature of arbitral award as a judgment and the finality nature of the same. To consider the possibility of setting aside of an arbitral award, the ground pursuant to which it could be impeached and the time within which the application could be made. The research will among other things inquire into the Nigerian Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023 with the intention of determining whether the Act has widen or narrowed the scope of the grounds for impeachment of arbitral awards in Nigeria. Doctrinal method of research was used in course of this study which includes the primary and secondary sources of the laws of Nigeria
