Abstract

This paper examines the discrimination against the board members and spokespersons of the German think tank Europäisches Institut für Klima und Energie (EIKE) in a paper published in the International Journal of Communication. The paper argues that the authors of the paper discriminate against EIKE by using an unscientific, strongly pejorative, malicious “denial” and “denier” framework. The paper also argues that the authors attempt to bolster their denial allegations by using ad hominem attacks, such as guilt by association and imputation of motives such as greed and funding
